Maharshi Valmiki Sanskrit University, Mundri (Moundhara), Kaithal (Kapisthal)" is set up by the Haryana Government Act 20/2018 in Mundri village of Kaithal district in the prosperous state of Haryana. It is located 8 kms east of Kaithal on the Kaithal, 130 kms from the capital of Chandigarh, 115 kms from Hisar, 175 kms from NCR New Delhi, 30 kms from Pahowa, 25 km from Kalayat and 45 kms from Kurukshetra situated at.

The Founder Vice Chancellor of the University is Dr. Shreyansh Dwivedi. Who accepted their obligation in August 2018. He said that all the 70 Gurukuls and Sanskrit colleges of Haryana are essential for conservation and promotion. In these Gurukulas and colleges, universal study will be done through Sanskrit medium and experimental. Expressing his views, Vice Chancellor said that the University will be supported on the nurturing Gurukul tradition of Indian education system.According to the Vice-Chancellor, modern and sentimental curriculum will be set for the university to build the best India.
